A Wonderful Holiday Buffet!

What an evening! Those Special Events guys, Ed Benberg and Gary Melott, played host once again for a huge, warm and wonderful gathering of Highlanders. The evening of Wednesday, December 12th started off with socializing and admiring the beautiful decorations throughout the Clubhouse. Dinner began at the buffet lines right at 6:30pm, offering selections of sautéed green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, a nice green salad, and a choice of roasted turkey or salmon. Desert was a tempting selection between three different pies: pumpkin, pecan or berry (who the heck can choose between them?!?).
Dinner was taken care of for us once again by Kam and Kam Catering. While we relaxed and chatted over pie & coffee after dinner, we were treated to Christmas carols by The Dickens Carolers.
Finally, the end of the festivities was highlighted by Gary's famous raffle! He'd been hard at work as one of Santa's elves (and I'm not implying anything at all about Gary's height here; besides, Gary said he used to be a much taller elf) by going all over town lining up raffle prizes from all sorts of folks. Gary, you really outdid yourself this year! Prizes and gifts were supplied by the following agents and companies:
