Getting to The Highlands
The Highlands community is located in King City, OR, about 10 1/2 miles southwest (as the crow flies!) of downtown Portland.
King City is in the eastern third of the beautiful Tualatin Valley. The Highlands just a short drive to Interstate 5, which provides easy access to Portland International Airport (PDX), 45-60 minutes to the north, and Salem (the capital city of Oregon), about 45-60 minutes to the south.
King City is also located in the northern part of the larger Willamette Valley, which is known for incredible agricultural production, including world-class wines, hazelnuts, hops and Christmas trees!
If you like mountains, there's a beautiful view of Mt. Hood (which is right about in the center of the Cascade Range), which rises nearly 54 miles to the east! The Oregon Coast Range is only about 90 minutes to the west, and the incredible Oregon Pacific Coast, with its haystack rocks in Cannon Beach and Pacific City are just beyond.
