The King City Highlands

A 55+ Adult Community

Located in the rolling hills of western Washington County, Oregon, Highlands is a senior community of 319 single-family houses and condominiums in a wooded setting. Walking paths and greenways wind through the community, with an elegant Clubhouse serving as the focus of gatherings and activities.

Highlands offers an active lifestyle for adults 55 and over. Among our recreational and social activities are card games, fitness classes and movie nights. Special events and potlucks offer residents a chance to get together on holidays and other special occasions. The Clubhouse is also available for residents' private gatherings.

An elected Board of Directors — composed of owners — governs the community.

Highlands goes to the Movies! Or, more accurately, a movie comes to the Highlands! Please join us at the Clubhouse at 7pm on Friday, October 25th to see "Laws of Attraction".

The Halloween Party Potluck!! On Saturday, October 26th at 5:30pm, the Ghosts and Witches of the Highlands will gather to conjure in All Hallows' Eve (okay, a few days early!). Yes, it's a "potluck", so bring a dish to share, along with your favorite brew. Costumes are encouraged — and there will be prizes for the "best" guy and gal costumes! Show off your pumpkin-carving skills, too, by bringing your carved-up jack-o'-lantern. A sign-up sheet is posted on the Clubhouse bulletin board.

Kevin McCaleb's Irrigation Assessment and Recommendations report is here! The long-awaited "water audit" report from Water Conservation Specialist Kevin McCaleb is available for download. There is also a two-page summary of his recommendations, attached to the front. You can download that report from the ALC's web page.

The brand-new, September 2019 of the Architectural & Landscape Manual is available, and ready for download. Go to the ALC's web page, scroll down a bit, and click on the light blue button to pull down a copy of the PDF.
