The King City Highlands

A 55+ Adult Community

Located in the rolling hills of western Washington County, Oregon, Highlands is a senior community of 319 single-family houses and condominiums in a wooded setting. Walking paths and greenways wind through the community, with an elegant Clubhouse serving as the focus of gatherings and activities.

Highlands offers an active lifestyle for adults 55 and over. Among our recreational and social activities are card games, fitness classes and movie nights. Special events and potlucks offer residents a chance to get together on holidays and other special occasions. The Clubhouse is also available for residents' private gatherings.

An elected Board of Directors — composed of owners — governs the community.
Just a friendly reminder: House-owners who are planning almost any sort of exterior project (e.g., painting, a new roof, changes to your landscape (especially to your trees!), a new fence, and so on ) should check with the ALC to see if you need to submit an Architecture or Landscape Application. You can also check with the Architectural & Landscape Manual to see the current guidelines.

Christmas Holiday Dinner!! Highlanders celebrate the holidays this year with a catered dinner of sliced turkey breast or grilled salmon (your choice), plus a selection of mouth-watering side dishes, topped off with a big slice of berry pie. WHAT A FEAST!! Not only is there a wonderful dinner, but the Dickens Carolers will be there to entertain with traditional Christmas songs. Tickets are required ($25/person), and are available through Ed Benberg.
LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS: Saturday, 2 December (get 'em at the Clubhouse!).

Please join us on Wednesday, December 6th, at 5:00pm in the Clubhouse for socializing and celebrating the holidays!

A new Architectural & Landscape (A&L) Manual has been produced! A digital version is available on the ALC's web page (in PDF form), and a hardcopy is available for review, or to take home, in the Clubhouse.
Please go to highlands55.org/alc, where you'll find the latest digital version of the new A&L Manual.

A new selection of street trees is available! Two beautiful new options are available for selections as street trees in the Highlands. The full details are posted at the ALC's web page, and the new Street Trees binder can be found in the Clubhouse, near the ALC's information rack in the hallway.
