What goes out this week?

Come Sunday afternoon, My wife and I are always scratching our heads about which bins need to go out for pick-up by the Pride Disposal guys on Monday Morning. Is this a yard waste week, or is it time for the recyclables and glass? Not only that, but what the heck can we put into the recyclables bin, and what should we put into the trash? Hey, here's something you probably won't be surprised to hear: there's an app for that!
Washington County's Health and Human Services department has a pretty extensive web page, but they also have a mobile app called RecycleDay. This nice little app not only reminds you what you need to roll out to the curb, but it also has a really handy search tool so you can find out if that container you just emptied out can go into the recyclables, or into the trash. Try these things out, for example: Those milk cartons, with the triangular tops (they're actually called "gable-top cartons"), or juice does and other ascetic containers. (Spoiler alert: they're recyclable!!!)
